Going for coffee is not a solitary, or should not be a solitary, episode. Thus going for coffee with another naturally involves a purpose of which conversation should form a significant part. Trappist monks are not known for their coffee drinking habits in retail areas. Costa, like Starbucks & all the other overpriced nancy-boy coffee outlets that imagine they are a "destination", makes conversation impossible due to the unholy racket of steam, banging, shouting orders etc. If you want coffee, good coffee, good coffee and be able to talk, find somewhere other than places like these.
